Becoming the Clerk
Gwendolyn Marshall was elected Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller of Leon County on November 8, 2016, making Clerk Marshall the first woman and African American elected to serve in that capacity. A devoted public servant, dedicated civic leader, and effective manager, Clerk Marshall brings a determined energy to the Clerk’s office.
Her operating perspective is “Performance, not Promises.”
Education & Experience
Clerk Marshall is a graduate of Florida State University, where she received a Bachelor of Criminology degree.
Before running for office, Clerk Marshall worked 17 years for the Florida Association of Court Clerks and Comptrollers, advocating for and serving the independently elected 68 Clerks of Court and Comptrollers for the State of Florida.
